First though, a quick link to posts tagged with “quotes”; a collection of quotes I really liked.

BrokenRealityLooper is my fandom, shipping, and fanfiction space. I reblog artwork, quotes, and fanfics, as well as story prompts and ask prompts.
I’m currently, slowly, in the process of writing a RWBY fanfic that is a “sequel” to an older RWBY fanfic, set in an AU where Salem and the Maidens don’t exist. The first story–Tarnished Silver–is AU from the Vital Festival onward and starts about 12yrs after Graduation–or about 15-16yrs after the Vital Festival–and the current project–Regrets and Love–uses the same history, but starts at Graduation. This was my first sideblog. (searching “Tarnished Silver” or “Regrets and Love” will take you to updates and snippets.)

GateWarpTraveller is space and planetary scenery, quotes, and a few “story” pieces set in a future where humans explore the grandeur of creation. While I always leave in the artist and photographer credits, the idea is that these photos are of far flung worlds and not of Earth. This was my second sideblog. (searching “story” will take you to the few snippets I have.)

AfterTheFallNoEndings is collected artwork, photos, and quotes used to portray an alternate Earth where a global economic collapse lead to a world that looks like a mix of Wild West, Industrial Revolution, and Dieselpunk Post-Apocalypse. With some small hints at Fantasy/Hi-Sci-Fi. This was my third sideblog.

I want you to do something.

Take a breath.

Take it slowly through your nose; feel the air as it passes through your nose, over the base of your tongue, down your throat. Feel your chest expand -- the ribs move, the intercostal muscles pulling to let your lungs fill. You are alive.

Exhale through your mouth. The chest contracts, pushing out the old. Tongue, teeth, lips anointed by breath.

You are alive.

Feel the ground beneath your feet (or beneath your seat). Take a moment to feel your pulse. You are a miracle. You are a beautiful mathematical impossibility, and I am glad you are alive. The cells in your body, whether they function poorly or well, are all doing their best to encourage one another, to push you forward to live.

You have survived another day.

Should the night come again, dark, too dark in your mind, I want you to breathe. You are a miracle. You are loved by more than you know. You are not a mistake. Were you to go, I would mourn you.

"You do not know me," you say.

It matters not. I would mourn you.

Stay alive, miracle. Your end is not yet written. Every morning is a mercy.

"You disagree with everything I stand for!"

I do not wish you dead. I wish you alive and well -- even if you believe my wellness inferior. Live. Change cannot happen posthumously.

You are loved. You are known. God has made you for a reason, whether or not you acknowledge it, whether or not you feel it.

"I deserve this punishment."

The price has already been paid; do you accept the mercy you are offered?

So have I. You do not know my own shadows, my dears, and I pray you do not.

Take a breath. Take a step. You are alive, you are a miracle, you are loved. We do not know our final hour, but do not shorten the song of your life.

ATLA fandom: Aang tried to force his ideals on Katara and stop her from confronting her mother’s killer.

ATLA episode transcript:
Katara: Don’t try to stop us.
Aang: I wasn’t planning to. This is a journey you need to take. You need to face this man. But when you do, please don’t choose revenge. Let your anger out, and then let it go. Forgive him.

What’s funny is that Katara said herself she will never forgive him and that’s okay. Aang was fine with that and he accepted that. The whole thing was that Katara was not gonna let anger get the best of her. She didn’t need someones life on her conscience at such a young age too. Bryke pretty much explains this but fandom likes to be that dramatic.

I would argue that Aang did get it. He found out his entire culture and everyone he knew and loved - except Appa - had been murdered by the Fire Nation. Including Monk Gyatso - the closest thing to a father he would ever have. Aang understood.
